Reentry Resource Center Behavioral Health Team (assessment/service linkage)

The Behavioral Health Team at the Reentry Resource Center (RRC) is one of the primary screening and referral portals to clinical treatment for reentry clients. The team provides SUTS outpatient treatments at the RRC and functions as a gateway to behavioral health services by linking clients to Substance Use Treatment Services (SUTS) and Mental Health treatment, as well as other reentry services.

Santa Clara County adult Criminal Justice clients. Clients can walk-in at the Reentry Resource Center and request a BHT assessment.

Substance Use Treatment

Substance Use Treatment Services (SUTS)
The Substance Use Treatment Services department offers a variety of treatment options for reentry clients, who can be linked to services through the Behavioral Health Call Center phone system or through the BHSD front desk phone line 408-535-4280 at the Reentry Resource Center. SUTS Adult System of Care provides outpatient, intensive outpatient, residential, withdrawal management, medication-assisted treatment, and Recovery Residence (when enrolled in outpatient treatment, formally called THU) support.  


Eligibility and Referral Process 

Anyone interested in finding out about treatment for Alcohol & Drugs. Santa Clara County adult clients involved in the FDR System, “Forensic, Diversion and Reintegration” system (pre-trial services, probation, parole, newly released) can walk into the Reentry Resource Center at 151 W. Mission St., San Jose and request a behavioral health treatment screening.

After hours, automated systems instructs individuals how to get into higher levels of care, such as Residential Treatment and Withdrawal Management.

Recovery Café

Recovery Café in San Jose is a healing community for those who have been traumatized by addiction, homelessness, and mental health challenges. The Café provides the kind of resources and relationships that provide stability and healing. The Café provides:  

Recovery Circles: small weekly peer support and accountability groups.    
School for Recovery: 8-week courses in recovery/addiction, life skills, inner healing, and healthy living.   
Those interested in membership can come on Monday's at 10:30am to do an orientation in-person. 

Members are expected to join a Recovery Circle that they must attend once a week. Members can only come to the Café the day of their assigned circle. They can come in as early as 10:30am for latte hour and attend a circle either at 11:30am or 1pm.

Members can also order a lunch before 12.

Members can stay inside the Café after group and hang out until 3pm the day of their circle.
