Martha's Kitchen

Martha’s Kitchen provides food support through hot meals and groceries to anyone in need. Martha's Kitchen also serves as a food rescue hub for produce, meat, poultry, dairy, frozen and baked goods.

Meals and groceries for those experiencing food insecurity. No information required.

Sacred Heart Community Service (Food Pantry)

Volunteers offer two essential food programs: a three-day supplemental supply of groceries
and an assortment of food for members who are currently homeless that requires no prep or
cooking. Due to COVID-19, we are currently not zip-code restricted and everyone who lives in
Santa Clara County can come for food once per week.

Food Pantry Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 9am-4pm
Friday-Sunday: Closed

Second Harvest Food Connection

Open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This hotline is for people who need food. Food is easy to get for anyone who needs it. Just give your name, address, date of birth, and the number of adults and children living in your house. You will be told where and how to get food. Our friendly staff speak English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese
and Tagalog. Second Harvest is not a government agency.

Senior Nutrition Program - Home Delivered Meals

The Santa Clara County Senior Nutrition Program partners with Sourcewise, TRIO Community Meals, and Everytable, to provide home delivered meals to older adults, regardless of income. Adults must be aged 60 or over and homebound due to illness, disability, or having difficulty obtaining food for themselves.

Senior Nutrition Program - Dine-in Locations 

The Senior Nutrition Program offers hot lunches at the centers listed in the contact information box. These lunches are cooked on site or are catered by local restaurants and local food service vendors.                                                      

Eligibility and Referral Process

The Senior Nutrition Program is open to all seniors over the age of 60. A contribution of $3.00 is requested to help offset the cost of the meal, however no eligible senior shall be denied participation because of failure or inability to contribute.
All sites require registration and some require reservations. Please contact an individual site for requirements.

Senior Nutrition Program

San Jose Catholic Worker/Casa de Clara

Casa de Clara is a transitional home for women and children experiencing homelessness. The San Jose Catholic Worker also runs a free food distribution and mobile showers.

Eligibility and Referral Process

Food distribution is for downtown San Jose area only. Call to find out if a person's location is within range of the weekly food distribution.
Anyone can come to “Showers to the People” without signing up ahead of time.
Call for shelter home availability.
