A shelter for women with or without children who must be victims of  domestic violence. If qualified, housing is provided in a motel and a
COVID 19 test is required until a bed becomes available.

Georgia Travis House (Shelter)

Georgia Travis House (formerly Commercial Street Inn) is an emergency shelter for single females and families with children (We take men now!)

Serves 12 family and up to 17 singles 
GTH offers - Case management, workshops, children's programing, uplift, rental and deposit assistance, medical services, therapy and a warm and welcoming environment.

HomeFirst Services, Boccardo Reception Center

Formerly called EHC Lifebuilders, HomeFirst provides housing for homeless individuals and individuals at risk of becoming homeless through emergency shelters, transitional housing and other programs. HomeFirst helps with housing problem solving, rental assistance, including deposits, transportation services and transitional housing referrals. A medical shelter for recently discharged hospital patients who are homeless is also available. We have a medical clinic on site.

Salvation Army 

Emmanuel House

This transitional housing program is for men in a clean and sober environment. You must have a stable source of income to be eligible for this program. Income may be from employment, retirement, or a disability benefits program (SSI, SSDI).

Eligibility and Referral Process

Shelter beds for men only. You may remain in the program for two years. Program fees for those with employment income vary between $120, $160, and $200 per week, depending on bed assignment. Of this amount, $20, is put into a mandatory savings account. Individuals receiving disability benefits or other fixed income pay a monthly fee of, $480, $640, or $800, depending on bed assignment. Of this amount, $80 is placed into a savings account. Total savings are returned when you leave the program.

Overnight Program

This is a free program for men only.
Intake is from 3:30 pm - 4:00 pm
If you have not stayed at the Emmanuel House before, you will be asked to present a valid government issued photo ID. Beds are for a single night. Repeat this process each night you want a bed.

You must be here in person.
All men must submit to a breathalyzer test (zero tolerance for alcohol) and take a mandatory shower.
There are no in/out privileges. If you leave the shelter after intake, you give up your bed for the night
If you have not stayed at the Emmanuel House before, you will be asked to present a valid government issued photo ID.
Beds are for a single night. Repeat this process each night you want a bed

Free meals are provided to the public as follows:
Breakfast: 7:15 am - 8:00 am (Monday - Saturday)
Dinner: 5:15 pm - 6:00 pm (Monday - Saturday)
